İntergaz hosted the fire department personnel.
The program, which began in the morning at the Chamber of Industry, concluded with technical training, practical training at the İntergaz Ltd. facility, and the presentation of participation certificates.
The program started with an opening speech by İntergaz Ltd. Deputy General Manager Kader Kencer. Kencer noted that İntergaz Ltd. has carried out many activities within the scope of social responsibility to date and will continue to do so. Stating that they have undertaken many social responsibility projects, such as a memorial forest, contributions to the SOS Children's Village, and the specially released pink cylinder to raise awareness for breast cancer, Kencer expressed that as a company, they are also pleased to provide technical safety and fire security training to various institutions and organizations. Noting that they have previously trained many university students and personnel from other institutions and that the training will continue, Kencer emphasized the importance of these training sessions.
“Theoretical knowledge and training were provided.”
“A fire extinguishing drill was conducted.”
Following the technical training held at the Chamber of Industry, the participants, together with the instructors, conducted a drill on responding to fires at the İntergaz drill site.
Before the fire extinguishing training held at the İntergaz facilities, participants toured the facility and were informed about the safety measures taken on site. After touring the facility, the participants received theoretical information on extinguishing an LPG tank and reinforced their knowledge with a practical drill. During the drill, participants practiced by extinguishing burning LPG cylinders individually and an LPG tank collectively. Following the drill on responding to a burning LPG tank, another drill was conducted on how to respond to kitchen fires.
A drill was conducted on how to respond to a leak in an LPG pipeline using setups specially prepared for the drill at the İntergaz facilities.
After completing the theoretical and practical training, the participants were awarded their certificates of participation at the İntergaz facility by Fire Department Chief Ahmet Özmenek, İntergaz Ltd. Deputy General Manager Kader Kencer, and the instructors.
Kencer: “We are pleased.”
