Technical Safety and Fire Safety Training

Intergaz Ltd’in 2011 yılında başlattığı teknik emniyet ve yangın güvenliği eğitimlerine bir yenisi daha eklendi.

Intergaz hosted the 14th Term Firefighter Basic Training Students and Ministry of Labor and Social Security Labor Inspectors.

The program, which began in the morning at the Chamber of Industry with the reception of future firefighters and ministry inspectors, concluded with technical training, hands-on training at the Intergaz Ltd. facility, and the presentation of participation certificates at the Chamber of Industry.

“Theoretical knowledge and training were provided. A firefighting drill was conducted.”

Following the technical training at the Chamber of Industry, the participants, along with the instructors, conducted a drill on responding to fires at the Intergaz drill site.

Before the firefighting training held at the Intergaz facilities, participants toured the facility. They received information about the safety measures taken at the plant. After the tour, participants, who received theoretical knowledge on what to do in case of a fire, reinforced their knowledge with a drill.  During the drill, participants individually extinguished burning LPG cylinders, learning step-by-step what to do in a fire. Following the drill on responding to burning LPG cylinders, another drill was conducted on how to respond to kitchen fires.

At the Intergaz facilities, using setups specially prepared for the drill, a drill was conducted on response procedures for leaks in the LPG pipeline and LPG tank fires, as well as how to respond to electrical and fuel fires.

After completing their theoretical and practical training, the participants were later given their participation certificates at the Chamber of Industry by Fire Chief Ahmet Özmenek, Intergaz Ltd. Deputy General Manager Kader Kencer, and the instructors.

Kencer: “We are pleased.”

Intergaz Ltd. Deputy General Manager Kader Kencer noted that Intergaz Ltd. has carried out many activities within the scope of social responsibility to date and will continue to do so. Kencer expressed their pleasure as a company in providing training to different institutions and organizations. He emphasized that although they had previously trained many university students and personnel from other institutions, the training provided to the new term of firefighter students holds a separate and special place. He stressed that the training will continue and highlighted its importance.

Kencer said, “As Intergaz Ltd., we were very pleased to host the 14th Term Firefighter Basic Training Students and Labor Inspectors for training and drills. Our doors are open to any institution that wishes to visit Intergaz Ltd. and inspect the facility on-site.” Kader Kencer stated that they will continue to provide theoretical and practical information on LPG fires and fire training, with necessary preparations being made professionally in advance.
