Post-Earthquake Fire and Casualty Response Scenario Executed
As part of the National Civil Defense Disaster and Emergency Response Drill - 2017, a scenario was executed at the Intergaz facilities aimed at preventing disasters that could occur after an earthquake and taking the necessary precautions.
Within the scope of the drill, response to leaks and fires caused by the earthquake at the tanker and cylinder filling areas, first aid for the injured, and their transfer to the hospital were carried out. In the drill, personnel from Intergaz and neighboring companies, as well as the Civil Defense and public organization, the fire department, the police, and university search-and-rescue teams, took an active role. ÇELEBİ: In his speech at the drill, Civil Defense Organization President Erdoğan Çelebi stated that 10 special situations and various interim scenarios assigned by the drill control center were executed in 6 districts, and added that incidents were handled in coordination with all institutions. Stating that the aim of the Civil Defense Drill-2017 was to test the training level of departments and establishments, Çelebi explained that Intergaz is an important organization due to both its location and the nature of its business. KENCER: Intergaz Deputy General Manager Kader Kencer stated that all institutions and organizations must be prepared for such incidents, create disaster plans, and update these plans by testing them through drills. Kencer expressed his hope that such events would remain only drills and thanked everyone who contributed.
