“Life-Saving Training” was given to medical students by İntergaz

The "Intergaz Safety and Fire Security" trainings, first launched by Intergaz Ltd in 2011, continue to be successfully conducted.

While Intergaz personnel find the opportunity to keep up with developing technology and new equipment on the market through "Occupational Health and Safety" training, institutions and organizations in our country also participate in the trainings as part of social responsibility.

Training provided to NEU Faculty of Medicine students

On 01.04.19, Intergaz Technical Manager, Mechanical Engineer Cem Saldoğan, provided a two-part training on fire and LPG fire response to students of the NEU Faculty of Medicine at the Intergaz facilities. While a theoretical presentation on fire and fire response methods was held in the first part of the training, a drill on fire response methods was conducted in the second part. In the theoretical training, Cem Saldoğan provided detailed instruction on the classification of fires and response methods, as well as which type of fire extinguisher should be used for which type of fire.  Emphasizing the importance of drills after the theoretical training, Saldoğan said, "Drills are very important for being able to respond to fires in emergency situations. Knowing what to do in the event of a fire is of great importance; knowing how to respond to it based on its type saves lives. From building evacuation to the use of fire extinguishing devices, trainings must be supported by regular drills."

Following the theoretical training, the Intergaz Ltd. team conducted a fire extinguishing drill with the NEU Faculty of Medicine students. During the drill, the participating students extinguished burning cylinders and an LPG tank one by one, thereby both gaining experience and learning the step-by-step procedure to follow in the event of a fire.

During the drill following the training organized by Intergaz Ltd. as part of its social responsibility projects, the students had an enjoyable time extinguishing the burning LPG cylinders and tank, despite the rain.

Trainings organized by Intergaz will continue

Saldoğan emphasized that the trainings conducted by Intergaz Ltd. are about what interventions should be made in a possible fire and that knowing the type of fire and the appropriate extinguishing method is of vital importance. Saldoğan also pointed out that knowing fire extinguishing methods is crucial, especially in crowded buildings like hospitals and schools, and he drew attention to the importance of expanding the training they conducted with the NEU Faculty of Medicine students throughout the TRNC.
