The "İntergaz Safety and Fire Security" training sessions, initiated by İntergaz Ltd in 2011 as part of its social responsibility projects, are being successfully continued.

In the first part of the "LPG Information and Fire Extinguishing Training" held at İntergaz facilities, a theoretical presentation was given on fire and response methods, while in the second part, certificates were awarded to participants after a drill on fire response methods was conducted. 

The opening speech of the training, organized with the participation of the İntergaz Ltd. team and fire consultant Resul Dilek from Turkey, was delivered by İntergaz manager Orhan Fişekçi. Following Fişekçi, who provided information about İntergaz Ltd.'s activities since its establishment, İntergaz Facility Manager Salih Fazıl Yeltekin gave technical information on the characteristic properties of LPG.

In the first part of the LPG Information and Fire Extinguishing Training, fire consultant Resul Dilek from Turkey provided theoretical training on what to do in emergencies and how to implement emergency plans. Dilek explained the classification of fires and response methods, as well as which type of fire extinguisher to use for each type of fire.  After the theoretical training, Dilek emphasized the importance of drills, saying, “It is very important to conduct regular drills to be able to respond to a fire in emergencies. Other topics as important as knowing what to do during a fire are first aid response and building evacuation. Training, from building evacuation to the use of fire extinguishing devices, must be supported by regular drills.”

Following the theoretical training, the İntergaz Ltd. team conducted a fire extinguishing drill for the participants. During the drill, participants extinguished burning cylinders one by one, and also received information and practiced how to respond to electrical cables and a burning fuel tank. The drill concluded with the extinguishing of a burning LPG tank.  Through the drill, the participants gained practical experience and learned what to do in the event of a fire.

Training sessions organized by İntergaz will continue

Fire consultant Dilek stated, “These training sessions, organized by İntergaz Ltd. as part of its social responsibility projects, fulfill a very important mission. Lack of awareness in emergencies can lead to loss of life. I recommend that every family have a fire extinguisher at home, create an emergency plan, and support this plan with regular drills. Knowing what to do in fires and emergencies is of vital importance.” The ‘LPG Information and Fire Extinguishing Training’ concluded with the presentation of certificates to the participants of the training, which was organized as part of İntergaz Ltd.’s social responsibility projects.
